Membership Terms
Founding Clients Initiative. Last updated: April 2026
These Membership Terms apply to the Velden Electrical Founding Clients Initiative. By applying for or holding a membership, you agree to these terms in addition to our general Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.
1. Membership programme
The Founding Clients Initiative is a paid membership programme offering discounted pricing, priority scheduling, and additional benefits for Velden Electrical services. The programme is limited to 200 founding clients: 100 residential spots (Founding Member) and 100 commercial spots (Founding Partner). Membership is activated by a one-off fee and is valid for 12 months from the date of activation.
2. Membership tiers and pricing
Founding Member: $249 one-off (incl. GST)
- 10% labour discount on all jobs
- 1% referral credit on all referred client job spend, credited to balance
- 1% of own job spend credited back to balance (loyalty credit)
- Priority scheduling, confirmed within 48 hours
- Rate lock for the duration of the membership year
- Property Electrical Profile updated with every visit
Founding Partner: $499 one-off (incl. GST)
- 15% labour discount on all jobs
- 2% referral credit on all referred client job spend, credited to balance
- 1% of own job spend credited back to balance (loyalty credit)
- All Priority call-out fees ($40 each) waived for the membership year
- Priority scheduling, confirmed within 48 hours
- Rate lock for the duration of the membership year
- Property Electrical Profile updated with every visit
3. Membership activation and payment
Membership activates upon successful payment of the one-off fee. Applications are subject to review and approval, including a simple qualification step. We reserve the right to decline applications at our discretion.
Membership is valid for 12 months from the activation date. The fee is a one-off payment. There is no automatic renewal or recurring billing.
4. Rate lock
Your scheduling mode rates (Smart Saver, Priority, Emergency) are locked at the time of your signup for the duration of your membership year. If your membership expires and you re-join later, rates will be set at the current pricing.
The rate lock applies to labour rates and call-out fees. Materials costs are charged at actual cost plus markup and are not subject to the rate lock.
5. Call-out fee waivers
Founding Partners have all Priority call-out fees ($40 each) waived for the duration of their membership year. This waiver does not apply to Emergency call-out fees.
Founding Members pay standard call-out fees as per the applicable scheduling mode.
6. Referral and loyalty credits
Founding Members earn 1% and Founding Partners earn 2% of the total job spend for every completed and paid job booked by a client they referred. Credits are applied to your account after the referred client's job is marked as paid.
All members also earn a 1% loyalty credit on their own job spend, credited back to their balance after each completed job.
Credits can be applied to future job invoices. Credits have no cash value. Referral and loyalty credits for active members do not expire during the membership year.
7. Screening and qualification
All applications include a simple qualification step. This helps us ensure the programme is a good fit for each applicant. We may request additional information during the review process. Approval is at Velden Electrical's discretion.
8. Promotional extensions
Velden Electrical may from time to time extend the membership term of selected members at no additional cost as part of a promotional campaign. Any extension granted will be communicated directly to the member in writing and recorded against their account. No promotional extension is guaranteed or implied by membership alone.
9. Service area
Membership benefits apply to properties within Velden Electrical's active service zones in Auckland, New Zealand. If we expand our service area, existing members can access the new zones at their locked-in rates.
10. Cancellation
Since membership is a one-off 12-month commitment, cancellation means your membership ends early and remaining benefits are forfeited. We do not offer partial refunds for unused portions of the membership period.
If you cancel within 14 days of initial signup and have not used any membership benefits, you are entitled to a full refund under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993.
Upon cancellation, pending referral and loyalty credits are forfeited. Earned credits already applied to your account remain available for 12 months from the date of cancellation.
11. Membership transfer
Memberships are tied to a specific property address and are not transferable to other properties or individuals. If you move to a new property within our service area, contact us to update your address at no charge. Moves to areas outside our service zones may require cancellation.
12. Programme changes
We reserve the right to modify membership benefits, add new features, or adjust pricing for new members. Existing members retain the benefits and rates in effect at the time of their signup. Material changes to existing member benefits will be communicated with 60 days notice.
13. Limitation
The Founding Clients Initiative is limited to 200 total founding clients: 100 residential (Founding Member) and 100 commercial (Founding Partner). Once all spots in a tier are filled, that tier is closed. We may reopen spots if existing members cancel, at our discretion.
14. Renewal
Renewal terms will be determined based on a first-year review of the programme. Members will be notified of renewal options before their membership period expires.
